About the Lab
Elite’s DisDance Learning Lab is a program created for virtual or hybrid learning students (1st grade and above). The purpose of this program is to support parents and children who desire a quiet, socially distant learning environment and socialization outside of the home and the classroom. This is not a tutoring, homeschool, or daycare program. Children should be self-sufficient and able to focus without constant instruction.

What will the days look like?
We have two options: Half days (7:30am*-12:00pm) or full days (7:30am*-3:00pm). *Drop off is between 7:30am and 8:00am.
There will also be time each day for lunch, brain breaks, and enrichment classes.

What will Elite provide?
Elite will provide a desk or table and chair for each student, high-speed WiFi, and charging stations.

What do students need to provide?
Students will need to bring their e-learning device (laptop, iPad, tablet), a charger, headphones, any necessary papers or writing utensils, peanut-free snacks and lunch, and a refillable water bottle.

Will students need a mask?
Students will need masks upon entrance and while moving about the building. They may be removed when seated, if desired. Our staff will be wearing masks.

Who will be supervising the students?
DLL will be staffed by adult Learning Guides who will help students log in and stay on track throughout the day. These guides will help to foster community, hygiene, and safe socialization. We will also have specialty enrichment teachers for dance, music, and art classes.

What procedures are in place to fight community spread of COVID-19?
Please see here for EliteCares, our COVID-19 Response Program.

It is our hope that our DisDance Learning Lab will provide a sense of
community and normalcy during this unsteady time.

The DLL will not operate under the same guidelines as a public school or a daycare facility, but we will be implementing best practices recommended by the DCFS, IDPH, and CDC. The DisDance Learning Lab is subject to cancellation due to COVID-19 or low enrollment.
