Andrea graduated with Honors from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a B.F.A. degree in Dance. Before attending college, Andrea graduated from The Youth Performing Arts High School in Louisville, Kentucky. Since 1998, she has been teaching throughout Illinois, Kentucky, and New York including the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, French Woods Performing Arts Festival, School District 33-C, and Jefferson County Public Schools. Andrea is the owner and creator of the DiscoverDance Early Childhood Program that is currently being taught in dance studios across the United States. In addition, she is an Acrobatic Arts Certified M1 instructor.
Sarah Ford Hardy
Sarah Ford Hardy is originally from Louisville, Kentucky and is a graduate of the Youth Performing Arts School. While attending YPAS, she received her training in ballet, modern and jazz, as well as lyrical, tap and hip-hop at other local studios.
Sarah has also trained at the Joel Hall Dance Center and Columbia College in Chicago IL, the Edge Performing Arts Center in Hollywood, CA and Millennium Dance Complex in Los Angeles. She has performed with numerous dance companies such as Inaside Chicago Dance, Midwest Dance Collective, DanceWerks Dance Productions, The Joel Hall Dancers and The JADD Co. Sarah has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with artists such as Wierd Al Yankovic, Soulja Boy, Hannah Welton and Joshua Welton of Counter Culture, and Prince.
Sarah was a member of the Joseph Allen Decker Dance Company where she assisted Mr. Decker for two seasons. She is currently residing in Illinois where she is training, teaching and choreographing all over the Chicagoland area. Sarah spent the last eight years performing with Inaside Chicago Dance and this is her 6th year as the Inside Youth Training Program Director.
Rhonda K. Moore was born and raised outside of Richmond, VA. Her dance training took place at Jessica Morgan School of Dance in Midlothian, VA. Rhonda’s teaching career started in 1996 and she has an extensive background in Ballet, Pointe, Modern, Tap, Contemporary/Lyrical and Jazz. She holds a B.F.A. in Dance and Choreography from Virginia Commonwealth University. Rhonda has danced with Starr Foster Dance Project, Ground Zero Dance Company and D’Feet Tap Ensemble. She has also trained under and performed for Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, Doug Varone, Tere O’Connor, David Dorfman, Scott Putman and various others. Her teaching experience has included positions as Dance Coordinator for Steppin’ Out Dance Studio, Artistic Director for A-Factor Dance Company, Lower School Dance Director for St. Catherine’s School and Instructor/Choreographer for various studios in Virginia and Illinois. In addition to teaching, she has also been a Head Judge for Edge Talent Competition for 5 seasons. Rhonda has been a part of the Elite family since 2009. She began her current position as Performance Company Director in June 2017 and loves every minute of it!
Elite alumna Ashley Deets graduated from the University of Illinois with a B.F.A in Dance and a minor in Business Administration. During her time there, she received the Talented Student Tuition Award and a scholarship to the Broadway Dance Center in NYC. She has performed in works by Linda Lehovec, Paige Cunningham, Darrel Jones, and Sahar Azimi and was a member of the nationally competitive Illini Dance Team in 2010 and 2011. Deets honed her passion for teaching in the Creative Dance for Children program at the U of I. She is an Acrobatic Arts M1 and M2 certified teacher and teaches ballet barre-based fitness classes at Pure Barre in Chicago.
Gina Matsie graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and a Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Sciences in Psychology. While obtaining her Dance degree, she had the pleasure to perform in new works by Tere O’Connor, Earl Mosley, Abby Zbikowski, and Kemal Nance. Gina trained with Kate Kuper in her Creative Dance for Children program from 2014-2016 and taught various techniques at Christine Rich Dance Studio in Savoy IL. Alongside her teaching experience, Gina is also a certified M1 Acrobatic Arts Instructor and a dance team coach at Conrady Junior High in Hickory Hills.
Christina has been dancing for 20 years and her passion for dance was inspired from her early training under Betsy Carr, Marjorie Randazzo, and Melissa Ray at Dance Arts Academy in Traverse City, MI. She then earned her Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree in Dance Performance at Butler University’s prestigious Jordan College of the Arts in Indianapolis, IN.
Christina is currently dancing professionally with Nomi Dance Company in Chicago, IL as a Company Artist and working with choreographers Laura Kariotis, Joshua Blake Carter, Wade Schaaf, and Amanda Hickey.
Christina has also performed with Ballet 5:8 as a winter soloist in Julianna Slager’s “Four Seasons of the Soul” and in guest choreographer Preston Miller’s work “And Mercy”. Christina has also appeared as a guest artist for Jackson Academy in Jackson, MI Nutcracker as Sugar Plum and for the Southern Illinois Music Festival in Swan Lake as a 4 Little Swan and a Princess and in Firebird as a Maiden.
Christina has studied with the Joffrey Ballet, Complexions Contemporary Ballet Company, Ballet Met on Merit Scholarship, Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Grand Rapids Ballet, Dance Teachers Summit, and New York City Dance Alliance as an Outstanding Dancer. Christina has also toured Europe on a full scholarship with Company Dance Traverse for the Tanzommer Festival.
Kaytee Cox, originally from Medina, Ohio, graduated Summa Cum Laude, with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance Education from The University of Akron. Kaytee’s work has been presented in multiple states by RAW Artists, KYL/D Inhale Performance Series, American College Dance Association, The University of Akron Dance Company, Alluvion Dance Chicago, and in her own dance for film. Kaytee was the recipient of the Mark C. Ovanich Choreography Award, as well as multiple awards for her choreography at dance completions. In the past years, Kaytee has had the opportunity to work with artists such as Banning Bouldin, Genevieve Carson, Nick Pupillo, Chloe Felesina, Alexandre Munz, Robin Prichard, Kora Radella, Melissa Thomas-Edington, and Tom Smith. Kaytee is currently a Company Member with Alluvion Dance Chicago and an Administrative Assistant with Visceral Dance Chicago.
